Dr. Rajesh Puri

Dr. Rajesh Puri is a renowned gastroenterologist and one of India's foremost Endosonologists. He has been instrumental in pioneering Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) in North India and has significantly contributed to its nationwide adoption through training programs and live workshops. Currently serving as the Director at the Institute of Digestive & Hepatobiliary Sciences, Medanta – The Medicity, Dr. Puri specializes in Endoscopic Ultrasound, as well as the diagnostic and therapeutic management of digestive, liver, and pancreato-biliary diseases.

He obtained his MBBS and MD in General Medicine from SNM College, Jodhpur (University of Rajasthan) and completed his DNB in Gastroenterology at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi. For his excellence in the field, he was awarded the Gold Medal in DNB Gastroenterology by the Honorable President of India. Dr. Puri also undertook international fellowships in Endosonography at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, and Kitazato-East University Hospital, Japan.

In addition to his clinical acumen, Dr. Puri is deeply involved in academic research, with over 70 publications in national and international journals. He has presented at numerous prestigious forums and received the Young Investigator Awardby the Asian Pacific Digestive Week (APDW) in 2007.
